Currently, there is a heavy reliance on imported components, particularly for die cast zinc alloy parts used in electrical connectors and automotive repairs. The local market lacks high-end precision toolmaking, creating a critical gap for advanced die-casting capabilities that can withstand the harsh sandy environment.
As Libya seeks to diversify its economy, the demand for lightweight materials is rising. This has led to an increased interest in magnesium alloy die casting for specialized aerospace and automotive applications, aiming to reduce vehicle weight and increase fuel efficiency in the region's transport logistics.
